Famous Boat House Club ---- Nanital
I have been going to Nanital quite often , but had missed out this famous historical colonial club .The Boat Club House in Nainital is a popular tourist attraction located on the picturesque Naini Lake, on the Northern corner of the lake on the Mall road itself . It is famous for several reasons, making it a must-visit destination for travelers.

These clubs had more or less an exclusive british Membership. In the pre-independent era. The Naini Tal Club Ltd, was considered one of the topmost of such Clubs. It was not only situated in a scenic and picturesque locality with a salubrious climate, but was the only club in India to provide inland-sailing (Yachting) facilities to its Members. The club possessed a large complex of buildings above the Malli Tal Bazar area,as well as Boat House on the Lake front.
Entry to the Boat club House is restricted to members but as a tourist one can also enter by paying a token fees . Once you are inside you can enjoy all the facilities of the club . It boasts of an excellent bar which is well eqquiped and very reasonable priced . Food is superb and it has large varities . You can sit just next to the water or can go to the roof top from where you see the complete lake .It has nice dance floor also.It has beautiful billards table and well stocked library .
