Centre Of Australia --- Alice Springs Popular Gate away for the Red Region .

Alice spring is roughly the geographical center of Australia and is also famous for its popular gate away for the red Region ie Ullaru and the Mac Donnell Ranges .It is equidistant from Darwin and Adelaide .we reached on the third day from Darwin after completing 1500 kms .Colloquially it is known as the Alice or simply Alice .It is an Oasis town .

This town developed because of the Historical Overland telegraph station and the building has historical importance as it was built in 1872 part of the telegraph line linking Darwin to Adelaide .So it ha historical as well as natural tourist spots . Lot of trekking activities take place because of the Mac Donnell ranges .

As such there are not many things in this small town except to visit Ullaru .But this funky small town has tremendous natural beauty offering scenic bushwalking trails ,beautiful gardens and historical buildings . we as a family really enjoyed moving around this small town it has some very good Indian restaurant .Nice and cheap hotels with all modern facilities.we stayed at Alice Lodge Backpackers Muller street it was with breakfast but it had even a swimming pool . It was my sons birthday so it became even more memorable.

In the center of Alice springs there is a small hill where you see the whole of Alice springs and the beautiful ranges . Also the selfie point with Alice springs name is made there .we also managed to see the beautiful sun set which is a grand site . The market is centrally located with nice modern shops after all Backpack for few days this was like a heaven or the desert Oasis
